An Appeal to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court

Chief Justice Roberts,

You should not administer the Oath of Office to Donald Trump on January 20, 2025. Citizen Trump has not been acquitted of his actions on January 20, 2021. Those charges make it clear he betrayed his Oath during his first term in office. Even though court actions at the lower level have been suspended, your opinion in Trump vs. United States, No. 23 – 939, clearly stated the lower courts were expected to distinguish between official and unofficial acts. Your decision about immunity was very clear:

(3) As for a President’s unofficial acts, there is no immunity. Although Presidential immunity is required for official actions to ensure that the President’s decision making is not distorted by the threat of future litigation stemming from those actions, that concern does not support immunity for unofficial conduct.

I encourage you to read the statement I submitted to my Congressman on November 18, 2024. I have included my letter and the response email I received from his staff.

Statement: Donald Trump Cannot Take the Oath of Office

            Letter: Congressman Valadao 11_18_2024

            Response: Valadao Response

Thank you for your service on the Supreme Court of the United States of America.

Joseph N. Allen, Ph.D.
